About

Hi there.

I am a post graduate student at the University of Western Australia.  I work within the School of Psychology with supervisor Associate Professor Shayne Loft.

My research includes a series of experiments investigating the automation of track management in submarines.  The research is being conducted in partnership with the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation.

I am investigating static, adaptive and adaptable automation and exploring various aspects of the human-machine interaction.  These includes how operator workload, situation awareness and performance may vary under fluctuating task-loads, and how individual differences my influence automation use.  Individual differences measured are working memory capacity, spatial ability, personality and trust.

This website offers a brief overview of my research.  I hope you find it useful.
